At the end are some links to places for finding, evaluating, rating, and discussing the thousands (yes, thousands!) of DA mods. Others may have different tips, but with these you can get enough of the basics to figure out what you're doing.
This Guide does NOT provide instructions for any particular mod, or contain any discussion of how to use the "Toolset" or the in-game "Command Console". While they are considered "unofficial", BioWare produced and released the "Dragon Age Toolset" specifically to allow and promote the creation of these mods. In order to further improve things, turn off permanent gore. This document describes how to get modifications (mods) for BioWare's Dragon Age (DA) to work in your game. It will greatly improve any issues with the memory leak the game suffers from. This will work without any issue if you're using GOG/Origin.
It's also recommended to use the 4GB Patch (64 sys): Qwinn's Ultimate DAO Fixpack v3.52 covers those three, but it's incompatible with some romance content mods, so I've included them in case you need to choose.
Do note that it cannot be used along with Dain's Fixes without a compatibility mod (which I don't have). Some buffs, nerfs, and complete overhauls. It makes a lot of tweaks to abilities that really play differently from the base game and open up a lot of new ways of playing. If you want a change to combat, Dragon Age Reborn has been a lot of fun.
100% recommend.ĭain's Fixes focuses on combat fixes. From dialogue to items to quests, it covers so much. Qwinn's Ultimate DAO Fixpack fixes a number of bugs in the game. This subreddit is RES Nightmode Compatible
